Monthly Board Meetings
Meetings are held first Tuesday of the month @ 8:00 pm. The meetings are held at the Algonquin Township Building. All dues paying residents are welcome to come to any board meeting. If you would like to speak about a specific subject, please contact one of the board members to get on the agenda for the evening.
Annual Tree Burn
Our yearly christmas tree burn is held in January. Trees are picked up the first weeks of the year by helpful volunteers and put at the West Beach. This is an evening event, weather permitting. We burn the trees and have food and hot chocolate for all who come. Even if it's cold out, it's warm by the fire and gives neighbors a chance to mingle.
Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Ages 0-99 Welcome
Ages 0-11 can participate in Hunt
Come to the park and meet the Easter Bunny and search for easter eggs. We will have coffee, juice and snacks for all to enjoy. We will also have some raffle prizes to award. Come and join in the fun for Spring.
Annual Fishing Derby
The fishing derby is held the same day as the pig roast. It begins early in the morning and ends about Noon. Residents with valid Illinois fishing license are welcome to participate. The contest is open to all ages. Children under 16 do not need a license to participate. This is a catch and release fishing contest with weighins at the East Beach. Prizes will be awarded at the Pig Roast that evening. Anybody can win so come and try out our beautiful lake.
Annual Pig Roast
Our annual pig roast is held yearly the 3rd weekend in August @ the Lake Killarney Park on the East Side. We have activites during the day for kids and dinner usually begins @ 5:00 pm. All dues paying residents are encouraged to come and bring a dish to pass. The pig, hot dogs, bread, condiments, paper plates, and plastic utensils are provided by the association. After dinner, there will be a band or a DJ and dancing on the basketball court. Please bring your own drinks and chairs. Come and join the fun and meet some new neighbors.
Annual Halloween Party
All ages are welcome to participate, young and old.
The Halloween party is held at the West Beach, we will decorate the walkway with spooky decorations.
We will have a chili contest so come, taste and vote or participate with your homemade chili. We will have
hot dogs and sweets to snack. We will also have juice and hot chocolate for all to enjoy. There is a
costume contest with prizes awarded. We will have games for the kids. We will have a fire to all to warm up.
