Where: Algonquin Township Building.
Biannual general membership meeting will be held at the Algonquin Township Building @ 8:00 pm.
We will be discussing general neighborhood news and issues. Please come and show your support for you community.
A monthly board meeting will be held @ 7 pm before the membership meeting.

Where: East Beach, West Beach, East Side Park
Please come out and help keep our beaches and park looking groomed. We will starting in the morning and clean as long as it takes. You can come out anytime to help with raking, planting, and general cleaning. There are non prerequisites, parents and kids welcome. We need your help!

All community members are encouraged to attend. Use of Aerators, Aquatic Weed & Algae control, Fish stocking
and Lake Security will be discussed. Biologist Holly Hudson, from Chicago Metropolitan Agency for
Planning (CMAP), will talk about the Silver Creek and Sleepy Hollow Creek
Watershed Action Plan and how Lake Killarney is a part of that plan. This will be a great opportunity to ask Questions,
make Suggestions or Voice your Concerns
about our Lake.
Please plan on attending.

This is our last chance to protest the Utilities, Inc increase. Reps from Utilities, Inc will be there to present to the ICC their reason why they need this huge hike. It is up to us to be there to present our side. This is our only chance to let the ICC know what this rate hike would mean to us. Our water bills will be raised tremendously if Utilities, Inc gets their way. Please plan on attending this very important meeting March 6th @ 7pm at the Algonquin Township Offices. If you have any questions, please call any Board Member.
We need all East side residents to attend.

Robert Besko from the ICC has agreed to meet with Lake Killarney residentsThere will be a hearing w/ ICC board members on Tues March 6th @ 7 pm at the township building. Utilities Inc. who currently owns Killarney Water Co. has proposed a large rate increase with the Illinois Commerce Commission to raise the water rates by over 300%! I would encourage everyone to go to http://www.icc.illinois.gov/docket/comment/ and scroll down until you see Killarney Water Co. and comment. Please come and give your support to our community to try to stop the rate increase. |

The Annual Tree Burn was held on Saturday Jan. 14, 2012.
It was great fun for the 18 people attending the event and everybody met some
new neighbors. The weather was perfect with snow that came just in time for
the sledding. The ice was not yet fully reliable so that we sadly skipped the ice
skating. It was plenty warm with the heat radiating from the fire and with the
wonderful hot chocolate from the Logsdons. |
